If your Hypro pump is in constant use, it is recommended to replace the diaphragms every 3 months or 500 hours, while the valves and o-rings should be replaced every 6 months or 1000 hours. A good indication that the diaphragms need to be replaced is if you notice a milky grey colour in the sight glass. This most likely indicates the diaphragms are torn. Stop running the pump and replace the diaphragms as soon as possible. Running a diaphragm pump with torn diaphragms can cause serious damage to the pump.
